Sixth Form is a particularly important phase of a students life. For many this is a culmination of a number of years at the school – for others it is a new and exciting environment – but for all it is a time of increasing freedom, greater responsibility and wider horizons. Sixth Form is a halfway house between the structure of the GCSE programme and the world of University or industry.
At Newry High School we provide the academic structure, but within that you will be expected to manage your own time and work independently. Both these skills are a requirement beyond school life.
