The Schools Partnership Programme (SPP) has been in operation for over 10 years. Newry High School currently collaborates with a number of its post primary ALC partners and the Southern Regional College. Every Friday a number of pupils from years 11 and 12 travel to the SRC (Newry and Greenbank campuses) to study for two single awards in Occupational Studies. This GCSE equivalent programme enable students to begin their transitions to the world of work. They benefit greatly from their experiences, leading to an increase in self-esteem and enhancement of self-confidence. This exciting initiative gives our Key Stage 4 pupils the opportunity to study a wide range of occupational areas whilst gaining a recognised external qualification through CCEA.
