Hello to all our new Year 8 pupils. My Name is Mr Strong and I will be your Head of Year. I Have been teaching at Newry High School for 23 years! So, I really do know my way around. It’s a great school, with lots of opportunities for you all. 

We will ensure you feel welcome and that everyone makes new friends. My main teaching subject is French, but I also teach LLW, Religious Studies and P.E. I am passionate about sport and have played table-tennis for Northern Ireland and Ireland. I am really looking forward to meeting you and sharing in your new adventures at secondary school.
