This qualification is for students with an interest in studying the critical issues in history and the behaviour of significant historical figures. Studying history gives a deeper understanding of how the world became what it is today. Students explore the motives that determine the actions of individuals and groups, as well as the consequences of these actions and how they combine with other influences to shape the present. It equips students with many of the skills needed in further and higher education, and in the workplace, by encouraging critical thinking, and teaches students to construct logical, concise and convincing arguments.
