At Newry High School we provide ourselves on the excellent curriculum provision and results achieved at Post 16. Our Sixth Form has established a strong reputation for getting the best out of its students. Whilst performance in the Sixth Form depends to a considerable degree of personal motivation and students need to have a real interest in the subjects they will be studying in such depth for two years. We offer a broad and varied curriculum that reflects the needs and aspirations of our students, balanced with a diverse programme of social and enrichment opportunities.
Our Students complement their studies by participation in a range of the following pursuits:
Repeat either English Language or Mathematics if a grade C has not been achieve in GCSE.
Careers Education is compulsory for one period a week, and private careers research is strongly encouraged and essential for UCAS applications and interview performance
