Our Department

Careers play an integral role in Newry High School aiming to ensure that students make a smooth transition from school to further/ higher education and employment. A high standard of careers provision is essential in today’s complex and changing employment landscape to prepare students to make informed decisions about the career pathway that best suits them. The overall aim of the Careers department is to provide impartial and effective careers education, information, advice, and guidance to enable students to take ownership and navigate their career pathways. All year groups will access Careers opportunities within the programme to meet their needs, and support is provided from external agencies to support this.
