Our school is very culturally diverse, meaning we can meet and learn from people from all around the world. Our school is also one of the only schools in Newry that offer a Sixth Form common room.

6th form at Newry High lets you really focus on the subjects you love most with a level of independence you’ve never had before. While this independence can be intimidating at first, the teachers and staff are great support and encourage you to achieve the best you can.

Although the jump from GCSE to A-level seems intimidating, sixth form has been an amazing and very fulfilling experience. The team of
teachers at Newry High School do a phenomenal job at helping students get through these difficult transitions seamlessly.

In 6th form you get more independence and freedom which makes socialising much easier and more fun, while learning is also much more fun as you get to learn much more information about the subjects you love.
