After another very successful Ski Trip in 2018 to the Italian Ski Resort of Sestriere, we have been able to make a provisional booking for next year's Ski Trip to the French ski resort of Les Menuires. The resort is a resort high in the French Alps and is a resort which the school visited in 2013. It is part of the Three Valleys ski resort in France which is said to be one of the largest interlinked ski areas in the world. The resort provides fantastic skiing opportunities for both those who have never skied before as well as challenging skiing for those who have. We will be departing Saturday 2 March and returning on Saturday 9 March 2019.

Les Menuires is one of six resorts which combined make up the world famous Three Valleys ski area. Les Minuires has approximately 160km of pistes (fully prepared ski runs). The village itself is located 1850m above sea level and the top of the highest ski run  is 1000m above the vilaage iteslf at 2850m. First-time skiers will find the ski area a great place to learn, with plenty of beginner zones and easy green and blue runs. Those who can ski will also find many other challenging runs to prefect their skills on.

In our planning for the trip we have negotiated an excellent price despite the weakness of Sterling compared to the Euro since the Brexit referendum.

Throughout the trip, pupils will have the opportunity to lean from professional ski instructors. They will be taught in an internationally recognised training course while enjoying breath-taking views of the mountains all around them.

The ESF currently contracted to the tour company is the largest ski school in the French Alps. Included in the price of the trip are 4 hours of tution each day. This is split into a morning session and an afternoon session, after lunch. The ski school instructors speak excellent English and are very familiar, working with school trips.

While the trip is based around the skiing, there will be a full programme of evening entertainment which will be finalised on arrival in the resort. In Les Menuires such activities will include evening in the indoor sports complex, bum boarding, film evenings, crepe evenings, etc.

What is included in the basic cost:-

In the past this trip has given pupils unforgetable memories of an amazing trip of a lifetime, and we plan to continue this in 2019. Hope to see you there!

The total cost of the trip is spread over several months between now and December. Payments can be made in 3 stages or spread over several months (at no extra cost), as listed below.
